Jonathan Leaf-The splash he has made in NYC continues to ripple out. Keep an eye on him. Time Out New York, the Wall Street Journal, and the New Criterion (among others) are doing just that. He even has a longer Wikipedia entry than Donald J. Sobol. Go try and sell that door-to-door, Encyclopedia Brown!
Quiara Alegria Hudes-Pulitzer Prize finalist, Broadway librettist, Tony nominee, and destined to author one of America's future classics. And her mom makes some of the best food I've ever tasted. Just waiting for her to write a part for a talented white guy. C'mon, Quiara, even just a short monologue'll do...
Terry Rabine-Just when I thought he was one of the best directors I'd worked with, I saw him perform on stage at the Dorset Theater Festival (notice no direct link for you yet, Carl Forsman!), where he blew me away. Tell me, Terry, what's your secret? The Saranac... the cigarettes..? The San Diego Padres?
Justin Blanchard-Not only a super nice guy and fine "old man," but more than held his own alongside some of Broadway and Hollywood's top names in the Tony-winning revival of Journey's End.
Claire Winters-A great actress, super lady, and a pretty nice smile when she uses it. A highlight of the mockumentary Filmic Achievement. You'd never guess she's from Tampa.
The Playgoer-The theater blog of critic/enthusiast Garrett Eisler. Always updated, informed, and even a little provocative. He also gave me a good review once, so I wish him a strong following.
